When it comes to moving people, Australia's favorite people mover hasn't stood still. The economical 4 cylinder range is equipped with a VVT-i engine for power when you need it and economy when you're cruising. Step up to the new V6 Tarago range and you'll find the improved benefits of Dual VVT-i enabling a powerful yet surprisingly economical drive and with low emissions.
In the Tarago, you'll often find yourself carting the most precious cargo in the world - so safety is always a priority. A comprehensive braking package call 'Active Braking with intelligence' (AB-i) improves stability and enhances control in emergency situations. This braking package, standard across the range, incorporates Anti-skid Braking System (ABS), depending on model, either mechanical or electric Brake Assist (BA) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). For the 4 cylinder GLX and all V6 models you also have the reassurance of Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC) and a brake activiated Pre-Crash Seatbelt system.
Dual front SRS aribags are standard, however an additional 5 airbags are available as either an option with Enhanced Safety pack on 4 cylinder GLi or as standard on 4 cylinder GLX and across the V6 range. Additional to the dual front airbags come front seat side, curtain shield & driver's knee airbags.

In this people mover, interior comfort moved into new territory, You'll discover all tarago models are comprehensively equipped with smart design features. From a convenient sliding centre console, remote electronic sliding doors and lush leather retractable Captain chairs with adjustable footrest in the V6 Ultima, to standard features across the range including armrest for added comfort, cruise control operated via controls on the steering column, dual zone climate control air codnitioning with pollen fitler and steering wheel mounted audio controls giving you fingertip adjustment during highway cruising. All these features and more will have you never wanting to leave the driver's seat.
The interior has been designed with a focus on maximising space and evoking a uniques sens of comfort and style. For starts, tarago offers space and comfort to easily accomodate up to eight full size adults. But of course, people aren't all that Tarago has been deisgned to carry.
Tarago is also big on little storge ideas to keep those smaller items in their place, with an abundance of handy storage compartments throughout the vehicle, including eight cupholders.
