A powerhouse of innovation
With two engine variants, a 4.7L V8 VVT-i Petrol with 5-speed automatic transmission and a 4.5L V8 Twin Turbo Diesel with 6-speed automatic transmission, the LandCruiser 200 offers outstanding fuel efficiency, superb drivability, heart thumping power and pure, adrenalin-inducting grunt. But it's safer too. A new high strength, high rigidity, rust-resistant framework and class-leading airbag configuration of up to 10 airbags means world-class protection for you.
Smarter than your average 4WD
New technologies have allowed the LandCruiser 200 to become the smartest 4WD in its class. The new CRAWL control system, on Petrol models, automatically maintains a low, uniform speed to enable stable driving in extreme enviroments or on slippery, uneven surfaces. We like to think of it as an off-road Cruise Control. Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) available on selected grades is a new suspension control technology that minimises body roll to remarkable levels. Off-road, the wheel articulation is even more impressive, delivering grippping traction on all four wheels. Once you have experienced KDSS, your view on suspension will change forever.
Gripped by exhilaration
Downhill Assist Control (DAC), standard with Diesel engines, enables a uniform speed on steep descents by automatically controllling the braking force. Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), standard on both engines, detects backward sliding of the vehicle when going uphill, allowing you to take off smoothly, even on steep terrain. A first in new technology for Toyota, the new Multi-terrain Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) not only prevents the wheels from locking, it can actively sense off-road conditions such as ice, sand, mud, gravel and dirt, adapting to different terrain for optimum braking power.

Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series is the best large petrol wagon in Australia due to its "astonishing prowess in the bush", according to the 2008 4WD awards from Overlander magazine. Toyota vehicles won four of the magazine's 10 awards.
